Relax

I would recommend staying here. I had the Japanese style dinner and breakfast. Limited English translation but the efforts were commendable. I enjoyed the Onsenโ€™s and it was a very relaxing vibe.

A fantastic stay!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Mizunoto. The shuttle service was perfectly on time to meet us at the train station which took us to the hotel for a very smooth check in process. We found a lovely gift from the hotel in our room for our Wedding Anniversary (Thank you!) The evening meal and breakfast were both absolutely delicious and there was so much food! All the services and staff were fantastic. Highly recommend! We'd love to come back one day. Thank you!

Beautiful ryokan in Hakone hills

Great half board ryokan with public and private hot springs. The food was great although a little repetitive. Only comment is that the directions to the hotel were not correct and we ended up on a hillside. We had to call the hotel to have them come and get us. Road was impossible to climb. We had gotten off the bus too early but had followed directions accurately. Remainder of stay was great. We were close enough to catch a bus to Lake Ashinoko and see Mt Fuji. Beautiful area!

Very nice room. If you like Japanese food the Kiseki is outstanding. There are 3 private I send that are first come first serve but we were able to use them. Just have to be flexible and check in at different times. They also have a public onsen that is separated by gender. The dinner and breakfast was beyond everything but if you donโ€™t like Japanese food this place might not be right for you.

The room no 412 given to me was smaller than the other 2 rooms of same type that given to my other friends, Room 412 was also next to machine room with noise.

Highly recommended traditional Japanese onsen

The property is a little bit away from the train station and up the hill, but shuttle is provided between 1 and 5 pm every day for pickup. We arrived later, and decided to walk despite being given the option to have them pick us up by request. Checkin was simple and straightforward, we were given instructions on paper and in English. The hotel is a little older, but meticulously maintained cleanliness made up for it. We stayed only one night, and were pleasantly surprised that โ€œhalf-boardโ€ means dinner and breakfast included. The food was fantastic- high end Japanese several course meal. The room was large and Japanese futons comfortable. We had an outdoor tub on our balcony and enjoyed soaking in it the first evening. Hotel also has a public onsen with several private options that do not require reservations. You just need to check if the space is open. We took advantage of it the next morning as we were able to extend our stay for several hours. The onset tub is in the garden area with lots of greenery, and it was just magical to soak in it. There is coffee and tea self service in the lobby, but the tiny kitchen in the room also had everything needed for a cup of fresh ground and brewed coffee or tea. Overall, we enjoyed our brief visit and wished we had more time to spend in the area.
