We loved our 10 day stay at Holiday Inn Ixtapa! Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, staff was wonderful! Food was very good! Would stay again. The manager was very good to us during our stay and upgraded us to a room with a king size bed and better view. The beach was great for walking and the view was beautiful! Would stay again. Was pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed the resort. We went just for 3 nights, but had a great time, food was really quite good, as we’ve been to many All-Inclusive places, and many expensive spots, have terrible food. Workers there were ALL excellent! We take the bus, as we live in Mexico, and all we do is walk across the street to hotel! Loved it, can’t wait to return

We saw whales daily from our room. The staff was amazing! The head Bellman attended to our every need. 3hkw Payta Water Sports in front of the Barcello Hotel the safe place for a parrasail or jet ski. English speaking.

Property is well located and staff are amazing. Property is old/run down but the sheets/towels are clean. We stayed on a Friday/Saturday night and there were special dinners with entertainment outside providing for a more authentic experience. The entertainment and music lasted until 5am so light sleepers should be aware.

It was a nice property. Staff was very helpful. A bit overcrowded and there was not much control at the pools . People had speakers on full blast and even through there are signs not to save spots, people would leave things on the pool chairs and leave for the day.

What I liked about the property was the different room locations . I liked the “Noche Mexicana” event. It was fun. The pool water on the kids side was really cloudy and had a lot of debris. Yes, it rained the days before but staff could have cleaned up the water with nets before pool opened up. The food was okay . Breakfast was poor , almost the same every morning. The burgers that were given at the buffet is the best burger I have had in my life. Not even In-N-Out compares. That says a lot. I saw more than one baby roach in my room. I think the hotel should take care of that ASAP . I’m glad it wasn’t the mom roach that flies . Anyway, overall it’s a nice hotel . Wish the pools were deeper. I’m 5’10” and in the kids side the deepest went to my belly button and on the other side, up to my ribs, so not a big difference in depth. The staff is amazing. Extremely attentive and nice.

This is a nice family oriented all inclusive, offering a budget minded price for the cost conscious. Our room had a nice ocean view that house keeping looked after everyday. The pool is large and the property borders the beautiful sandy beach. Food is average, but dinner was varied every evening we stayed. Al a carte meal was standard 3 choice entree. Both our choices were over cooked, but the staff were attentive. If youre lucky enough to get a festival night, you're in a for a delightful night of food and entertainment. A/C in the room did not keep up to the heat, so we were often to hot. Our room had a musty smell and despite housekeeping using deodarizers, the smell remained. Front desk was responsive to our concerns, but did not follow up, so I give them a C-. Staff are friendly, the grounds are pretty and the property is next to local amenities. Zihuatanejo is $160 peso ride in a cab, or the bus is 38. The bar is open until midnight and is active with loud party music. As a senior, I didn't appreciate the noise, but anyone younger would enjoy. The pool has a kids area then transitions to more young adult and party section. The far end is not connected and caters more to quiet, family side. The beach is beautiful and clean, well kept, plenty of early walkers. It boasts a beautiful sunset. Hope this helps
