Older hotel, but clean & safe

It is clean, but definitely an older hotel. Parking is easy & it is in a location that overlooks lake.

6/10 Good

Clean but tired and in need to refurb

A little dated and breakfast wasn’t great but fine to rest your head to avoid long journey home from Harris.
Irene, 1-night trip

Old and dated but a pleasant stay

It was a decent hotel very dated but was close to the centre and the staff was friendly
Felix, 2-night trip

Good, cheap, phenomenal surroundings

Good, cheap, phenomenal surroundings. Hotel slightly dated (so no for a honeymoon), but not in a way that matters

Not the best

Not the best. Had a sleepless night. Doors slamming and could hear people walking about all night.

Lovely hôtel, great breakfast
stuart, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Really good base

The property doesn't look the most appealing from the outside and the room I had was booked at a budget rate, meaning some of the decor and sanitary ware was a little tired. For the price I paid, this was an excellent base and good value. I had everything I needed in a clean, comfortable and spacious room, which made for a good private space to relax at night. I also enjoyed the food and drink in the restaurant, which was not overpriced. Some of the staff were a little curt and not the most welcoming or hospitable but I can deal with this when travelling on a budget, if my priority is a good, comfortable and safe base. This wouldn't put me off using this again.
Matthew, 3-night trip

Jon, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Reasonable hotel with friendly staff.

The hotel is in an exceptional position, with amazing views of the loch. The rooms were comfy, although the bathroom was not the cleanest. The rooms were very very hot. The evening meals are very basic - not the best. The breakfast was ok. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would stay again .
Carol, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was cheap and cheerful although a car or taxi is required to get into town in the evening.
John, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Beds was uncomfortable, outdated rooms, and outside is also outdated, no restaurant open due to staff issues
Anthony, 1-night trip

Was an awesome stay. Will do again
Steve, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Easy to find. Lovely rooms and friendly staff. Nice food.
Kathy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

For the price, surprisingly good hotel. Many similarities to a Premier Inn, but at the fraction of the price. Some of the decor isn't great, but they get the basics right, which is crucial. Definitely recommend this, hotel.
