The Power House Lodge was a great choice for us while we visited Custar State Park. We enjoyed the simple motel section compared to the small cabins because that was more than sufficient for our two night stay. The room was clean, had all we needed for relaxing and and resting. The scenery from our room was beautiful. The staff were pleasant, welcoming, and encouraging. Their resturant was wonderful as well. The food great and staff very helpful in selecting our meal.

Maybe I was easily confused but the description of the property relates mostly to the cabins. I didn’t realize there was also a motel, though looking at the listing now, I do see the differentiation and it seems clearly marked. Nonetheless, I was disappointed upon arrive to realize I was not staying in a cabin. That said, the property was very clean, staff extremely friendly and room comfortable. The restaurant on site is extremely good as well. As a motel, the accommodations were perfectly adequate and a good location for several nearby attractions.
