The Captain Cook is clean and in a quiet area. You escape the tourist crowds and the rates are a real bargain, too. The pub below the rooms served great food and the buses to downtown London and the tube were very convenient. Plus, the Mil Kitchen around the corner served a great breakfast. We will be going back when visiting London. Also, the staff members were super friendly.

Great stay for 2 nights. Dinner in the bar/restaurant was fantastic. Service was great from everyone. Immediate surroundings not bad or good, but 10 minute walk gets you to shops, cafes etc. 20 min walk in either direction to 2 tube stations (picadilly and district lines) so very handy.

We absolutely loved the room, the location, the pub, the pub food and drinks...one small thing - wished the toilet seat fit the toilet (1st world problems). Otherwise it was a lovely stay.
