Conveniently located close to the entrance to Tikal National Park, the Tikal Inn has comfortable rooms (though no A/C), an amazing front desk staff willing to answer any and all questions about the park and the area, a beautiful pool just steps from your room, and a basic kitchen with an ample selection of local foods that won’t break the budget. Electricity is rationed to three times a day for 2 or 3 hours, making it an eco-friendly experience. Wildlife can be spotting easily on the property and, of course, inside the park, which is why you are here anyway, right?
Rooms are reasonably priced. For those roughing it there’s a campground nearby. The Tikal Inn is ideal for sunrise or sunset trips to the Ruins as well as a “home-base” for visits to Uaxactun, Yaxhá, or even El Mirador. Flores is an easy trip as well.
