I had a basic room which was roomy enough, comfortable bed, good shower, AC, etc. Pool on location was small but nice; staff very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was good. I booked this hotel for one night to experience the Zicatela area of town, while I normally stayed in centro. The rooms have fridges but no coffee makers, which is odd at this price range. But the very good complimentary breakfast in the morning makes up for it.

We really liked being directly on Zicatela beach and close by to other surfing areas. The shops and restaurants are very much a beach type vibe. Good location, good A/C, warm water, pool and free breakfast on site. I do recommend ear plugs as the music can be loud some nights. Thank you.

The staff were wonderful. The property was constantly being improved and maintained during my stay. The best spot in zicatella, right across from the big waves and surfers. Great food at hotel and all around. I was even able to find parking for my moto during my stay.

Great deal and very clean right on the beach

The Rockaway is a great deal. Very clean, comfortable beds, great air conditioning, delicious breakfast with lots of options, two pools, right on the beach, and all for a very affordable price! We happened to be in town during the Zicatela Surf Competition and it was happening directly in front of the hotel. We would definitely come back!
