Check in was super easy and I liked having a code for our door. We had a little patio with a table and two chairs and a lovely view of the bay. The room was spacious and the electric fireplace was a nice touch. Walls are VERY thin. We heard way more than should from the couple next door and the family upstairs.

Good Choice for Bodega Bay

Room was very clean and spacious. A thermostat to control the room temperature would be nice, however. Also, it was difficult to keep the shower from leaking water into the bathroom, since the glass covered only about half the shower. Staff was accommodating with late check-ins and checking out. I was able to arrange everything via text.

This hotel is under new ownership and it’s clear they are trying. Our bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the room had a terrible scent. We looked for a plug-in or something that was putting out the smell, but couldn’t find anything. We slept with the patio door open. The decor is nice and new.

The hotel has no signage. I’m assuming it’s because after I booked I got a message that they have a new name, but there should be something so you know you’re at the right place. At least a sign that says hotel. The showers only have half doors, which allow water to get all over the bathroom. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. The beds a comfortable, and a decent view.

I would rate it a 3 the beds were comfortable and the room was clean and nicely decorated but it felt still under construction we didn't know the hotel was going to be under construction...no lobby, no water, no jacuzzi, no signage and the guests above us made a lot of noise walking around at 1am. I would like to check it out when it is completely done but that is my review for this experience.

Cute place to stay, new upgrades, great view of the bay and friendly staff. Downside is no window pr air in room except slider and i did not feel comfortable leaving it open at night so room was stuffy and warm. Property is in a great location in Bodega Bay. It’s walking distance to the bird walk, beach and restaurants. Our check in was smooth but there was an issue in the room we were assigned. Lisa at the front desk was so helpful and went above and beyond to upgrade us to a new room. We had an issue with the electric fireplace not working but that was eventually fixed. Beds were comfortable. Must go to the Fishetarian. We also had a lovely dinner at Drakes. It’s worth the 5 minute drive to Sea Flower Cafe for a breakfast burrito and espresso.

Room with a View.

Nice waterfront hotel newly remodeled. Has limited front desk/ concierge from 12-8 pm and very limited amenities. No room service and limited housekeeping (24 hr. advance request) Room was very spacious, modern, with a balcony facing the ocean, fireplace (very needed as it was very chilly outside) and very clean. It comes with a Keurig coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge which offset the lack of a buffet breakfast area, so common this days. Units are spread around the property common grounds with only stairs to access. NO elevators but there are some ground units for ADA compliance. In general was a nice quiet stay.

Smells and Stains

No one was there to check us in until 4:30. When we got to the room, the chemical smell was overpowering that we had to keep the door open for hours even though the smell never dissipated. Other rooms were doing the exact same thing. Pulled back the sheets...stains. Took a shower...there was writing on the glass so that was never cleaned. There wasn't really anyone available to help and we woke up to ants.

Nice clean room. Nice shower. Fireplace was great. Well stocked kitchen. Views were beautiful. A lot of parking. Keyless entry. Apartment sized rooms. We will definitely be back.

Unfinished remodel and some other issues

The property is actively being remodeled. That mention was subtle and understated in the ad. The work was immediately above our room during day hours, the spa, while not advertised would have placed the property on par with competitors, and staffing was bare. The shower was modern but the half shower door was installed on the wrong side so water from showers spread water all over the bathroom floor. Nice property, once the remodel is done and they staff up and fix incorrectly installed showers.
