Disappointed to say the least

The AC didn’t work and was actually warmer inside the room than outside. Two staff members checked and it was in fact broken. Fun especially in the heat and humidity to try and sleep. The bed is not a queen size. The bathroom is ill proportioned and not made for anyone over 160. Internet isn’t password protected so unsafe. A glass had a lip print and we found hair in the dryer. This is not a four star hotel, they must have given themselves the distinction as every amenity had limitations that left you feeling like you were seen as a potential thief ready to steal their hair dryer or overuse the water. Which is enforced by the prison like room and atmosphere. When I complained I was given a bottle of water and a licorice stick.

Superb service på ett helt ok hotell.

Jättebra service och personal med en utmärkt pub nere i källaren. Trevliga lokaler, men sängarna var lite obekväma och det finns aldrig någon anledning att ha ett gemensamt täcke till en dubbelsäng på ett hotell.

Fyra stjärnor? Snarare två, på en bra dag

Hotel Europa, eller som jag skulle kalla det: “Resan tillbaka till 80-talet, fast utan charm.” Rummet vi fick var en tidskapsel av omoderna möbler, slitna ytor och en kvävande instängd lukt som slog emot oss när vi öppnade dörren. Toaletten var så liten att man nästan behövde lämna dörren öppen för att kunna vända sig om. Fläckar i duschen, repigt handfat och håll i er, duschdraperi. På ett fyrstjärnigt hotell. Jag kan bara gissa att de extra stjärnorna sattes dit med silvertejp. Sängarna var obekväma budgetvarianter som mest påminde om billiga IKEA-gästsängar. Vi kliade oss konstant under natten, även om vi inte hittade några vägglöss (vi letade, vi är rutinerade resenärer). Ljudisoleringen? Glöm det. Varje gång grannarna pratade eller duschade kändes det som om de stod inne i vårt rum och gjorde det. Fyra stjärnor? Möjligen i en alternativ verklighet. Här är det två stjärnor och det är med generositet.
