Nice room. More amenities than I have ever seen in any room I ever stayed in.

The Birchwood Inn was out of the way, but it was worth it. It was a nice country in on a very quiet road. Our room was very comfortable, and snacks as well as a continental breakfast was included. A restaurant was attached to the Inn and although we didn't eat there, we had a drink at their bar and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff could not have been nicer or more friendly.

It was a very nice suite. Breakfast in the room was convenient and at our pace. We had a late check in and it was very smooth. Would absolutely stay again.
Barbara-Jean, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Quaint small inn basically in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are dated and could use some updating, but ours was a suite with plenty of room. Excellent bar and restaurant in the Inn (loved Natalie the bar tender!)

Nice B&B

Very quiet, quaint and clean. Delicious food in the restaurant downstairs. Staff wonderful.😊

My room was warm and cozy on a very cold New England night. If you’re going to be in New Hampshire you should at least try a night at the Inn. Read your favorite poem and have a glass of wine downstairs if you’re lucky enough to be there when they are serving dinner. Would recommend and will visit again when I’m in the area.

The property and room was so pretty and down to earth. Nothing fancy but right up our alley. The dinners they serve were high class and very good.

Very much thought has gone into attention to detail as to what any guest might want. Owner is very hands on and she works to make sure you are comfortable and well fed!
Glenn, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very cozy place! Owner was very responsive to our needs. Nice selection of breakfast items and snacks in room. Convenient parking. Close to area restaurants/businesses. We stayed over Christmas so the onsite restaurant was not open but it looked quite nice. Only thing that could be improved is the scent used for the linens, as it was a bit strong. Otherwise, would definitely recommend for anyone needing to stay in the area.
Dana, 3-night trip

Birchwood was a great find. Our room had an air of comfort and tranquility. The restaurant’s staff and food, I believe, could compete with any top restaurant. I would recommend Birchwood Inn to anyone.
Jeff, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for our travel and the town was lovely and peaceful. It was so nice not to wake up to mowing and blowing. The tavern looked great but wasn't open the night we stayed but we will return and check it out. We had everything we needed and more. I almost forgot that it was also spotless.
Maureen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A quaint, lovely inn. Room was well-appointed with everything that we could possibly need. We stayed three nights in the Cambridge Room. Unfortunately we stayed on days that the restaurant was closed so we didn't get to have our dinners there. A continental breakfast was provided for us in our room as well as a well-appointed basket of snacks. We are hoping to retire to the area and we will be sure to return during our house hunting trips!

From the moment we arrived at The Birchwood Inn in Temple, New Hampshire, we knew we had found a true gem. This historic inn exudes warmth, character, and an unparalleled sense of hospitality that made our stay unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully appointed, blending classic New England charm with modern comforts. We slept soundly in the cozy bed and woke up refreshed each morning to the tranquil sounds of the countryside. What truly set The Birchwood Inn apart, however, was the incredible attention to detail and genuine kindness from the innkeeper. Upon our arrival, we were delighted to find a thoughtful selection of snacks waiting for us, a perfect pick-me-up after our journey. But the real highlight was the homemade banana blackberry bread – it was absolutely divine, warm, moist, and bursting with flavor. It felt like a true taste of home, and we savored every bite! The Birchwood Inn isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. The innkeeper's personal touch and dedication to making guests feel welcome shine through in every detail. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a peaceful, charming, and genuinely hospitable retreat in New Hampshire, look no further than The Birchwood Inn. Highly, highly recommended!

Wonderful ambiance at this historic inn! The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. So many little touches that made the stay homey. Loved having a basket of snacks and breakfast food provided to be able to eat in our room and relax in the morning. They accommodated my dietary restrictions that I had notified them of at time of making reservation. The interior decorating fit the historic building perfectly! Giving a feel of old, but with the comforts and cleanliness of new. Dinner in the restaurant was delightful with good food and live music (Thursday night). We slept well and enjoyed our stay.

I travel a lot for work on my own in remote areas of NH & VT, so finding a safe and comfortable place to stay is very important to me. The staff at Birchwood were so kind and welcoming. My room was well prepared and very clean. The only thing that made me a little nervous was the back door in the room because I was unsure if the lock actually worked and only a thin see through drape covered the window. Just something to be cognizant of for young women traveling alone! Overall, I loved my stay and would definitely come again!
