Stayed a few days on the beach. It's very remote and quiet to get out of the frenetic energy of Cartagena. Few nearby amenities outside of the hotel.so you are dependent on their pricing for food and drinks, but worth it for a peaceful rustic beach or romantic getaway. Staff was kind and responsive. Food and drinks were solid. Was exactly what I wanted to just chill, read my book and soak in the ocean

Fantastic suite, not fantastic service.

Our suite was fantastic, with a private pool. Food was decent. The service, especially at the front desk, was pretty horrible. When we checked in there was a woman who didn’t help anyone, and kept rolling her eyes. It took an extra hour to get into our room, and they tried to charge us for transportation we didn’t take. There were a lot of people fighting about their bills upon check out. When we checked out they insisted that we took a bottle of water from the mini bar even though we had pictures to prove that we didn’t. Which left a sour experience. If you come, be very wary of the charges. All that said, I am giving it four stars because of the luxury suite.

they try hard to be a party spot

We were looking for a few relaxed days by the beach which we failed to accomplish as the beach club is trying hard to present itself as a party spot. There was no way of escaping the party music anywhere. Out four days was also too long; locals come there for one or -tops- two nights. What we liked was the lovely prepared dinner venue and the corresponding atmosphere. (One night when the music was more tropical than electro we actually enjoyed it.)

The place has potential but it’s not quite there yet. Our room was at the back of the property behind a unit that was being built and worked on so we had to walk through a construction area. The room was plain and almost seemed like an afterthought. No character like the other rooms. We complained about our room to no response. The rooms were supposed to be cleaned throughout the day and by 4:30pm ours was still not done. We ended up telling them not to worry about it. No apology from them. At night it looks great with all the lights around the property. The food was good and breakfast was as well. It seemed there was no manager or someone of authority to discuss issues which was weird. I personally wouldn’t go again
