Even though the furnishings are dated, it is a very clean, comfortable and large room and bathroom. If traveling on Canadian 17 again, I would definitely stay for an overnight. The host is very kind and helpful.

Great roadside motel

Probably the best roadside motel I've ever stayed in. Very comfortable room and bed with great facilities provided, even a kettle which is extremely rare in Canada as most places just provide coffee machines these days. Restaurant was not open yet (it is May) and there is nothing else there.

For the price the hotel was decent. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It did have a musty smell but I think a lot of these types of hotels just have that. I had some air spray that I used to help take away the smell
