Location is superb for vistas and wonderful dining experiences. Lodging and grounds were comfortable. Birding from the balcony was also a unique experience. Coatimundi and agouti were seen about the property. Night walk and nearby Butterfly Gardens provided such interesting and surprising facts about the cloud forest.

Lovely place to stay with great views and trails to walk away from the accommodation area. Lots of birds and butterflies to see. Good breakfast - especially the yogurt and home made granola. Evening meals also good- with added bonus of local beer on tap. Staff friendly and helpful.

A quiet retreat for nature lovers. We enjoyed every meal at the farm to table restaurant looking over a vast valley that ends in sea. The property’s cloud forest trails are as lovely as the one you pay for at the Monteverde reserve. The rooms were stunningly beautiful. I felt safe allowing my teenage daughters to roam unsupervised.

We enjoyed our stay at Valle Escondido. The sunset happy hour, permaculture info, and onsite trail system are great. The concierge service was not as "concierge-y" as I was led the believe, but we eventually got things figured out. There were several middle of the night power surges that triggered the emergency lights 😴 The property is beautiful and most of the staff is lovely

This was an amazing hotel, it was near the cloud foreat and it had its own forest that you could take night guided tours or walk during the day. It was close to town too. We highly recommend this hotel.
