Buswells a classic Dublin hotel.
The staff was absolutely lovely. Every single staff member treated me exceptionally well. It wasn’t just me that they did that with. I could see they treated all their guests this way. For this reason alone, I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat. This is an older hotel. I actually like that. There’s a very steady lunch crowd, which seems to be completely local, which simply adds charm to the experience. The location is perfect. Every single request I asked of the staff, and there were only a few, was carried out straight away with authentic kindness. I stayed there for seven or eight nights. Like a knucklehead I left one of my cell phones in the room upon departure, and they took care of shipping it in a very timely fashion.I hesitate to say anything negative. The only negative aspect of my experience was the carpet was never vacuumed well or not at all the entire time I was in the room. The rest of the room was cleaned quite well.

This was a great choice for our first visit to Dublin. The staff were lovely, rooms were a good size, breakfast was delicious, and the property could not have been more conveniently located. I especially loved the relaxing chairs next to the fireplaces in the lobby for an after dinner drink or
hot chocolate. We’d love to return.

This is a lovely property, old Irish style, so charming. Beds were comfortable, staff was nice, breakfast was lovely. We had an issue with noise from a close room but the manager handled it promptly. We would stay here again!

Buswells Hotel is amazing! A prime location in the heart of the city and yet on a quiet street - domestic and international travellers in the hotel, which was nice. It also had an excellent restaurant and bar on site. Best of all was the incredible character of the hotel: gorgeously designed with plush leather furniture, full length mirrors and artwork, as well as fireplaces around every corner. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

Great location. Really helpful staff. Room was small. Single glazed windows were in keeping with the Georgian building but produced huge amounts of condensation overnight. The public rooms were terrific. Worth extra cost for a room upgrade

Nice property in a great location. Food not great. Front of house staff were very good. Bar staff very slow, ignoring or seemingly unaware that customers actually want to eat or drink whilst chatting to each other. one member of said bar staff was rude to the point of aggression. He tried to con us with someone else's unpaid bill. A disgrace. Reported him to management who,to be fair, apologised, but he did not Still considering taking it further.

K-staters traveling to Ireland...
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our Ireland trip, while we explored Dublin some more. It was a perfect place for us. We were a family of 3 and we had plenty of room and the location was fantastic. The hotel has the older charm and decor, but it has great character and is clean. More importantly the staff was super friendly and helpful. The 2 ladies that never seemed to not be at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of watching them interact with an older lady that needed a 4:30 wake-up call and help arranging for a ride to the airport. They were both extremely friendly to her and made sure that she had all the arrangements perfect to suit her needs. Never making it seem that they were trying to rush through because there were 2 of us waiting for help. I appreciated their attention to detail for her. I also appreciated the doorman asking for room number/name late at night when returning to the hotel. We always felt very safe in this area and in the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again and if we ever get the opportunity to return to Dublin. (Sorry that my pictures are from right as we were leaving).

Great location and beautiful decor
Great location, beautiful historical hotel. Beds very comfortable. We are from the US, traveling as a family with a teenage daughter. We were looking for a pretty place in the center that is quiet at night. We also needed parking as we were leaving the city the next day for a road trip.
The hotel is close to everything yet on a quiet street.
Parking was easy in a nearby garage but only discounted price (I think we paid eur 27)
Breakfast is great but kind of expensive. The coffee that is served with breakfast is thin and terrible but staff will make you an espresso if you need the kick.
Issue w breakers: in several occasions, the outlets and lamps quit working in our room 216. The staff resolved it quickly by resetting the breakers. Kind of weird though. I have not had that experience in other hotels.
Concierge (Mr Paddy) was awesome, cheerful and efficient, and we enjoyed meeting him.
We will stay again.
