This hotel is absolutely wonderful. I wasn't going to book it as I don't stay in 3 star hotels but glad I did - as the hotel is fantastic. The level of customer service was noticeably excellent. Easily a higher 4 star hotel. There's a lot of history about this hotel and it's owner. I recommend taking the time to research it. 100% recommended to stay here during your trip to Melaka. Thank you to all the brilliant hard working staff in the hotel.

Pleasant stay

This has been our go-to hotel for Malacca. We like the location near Jonkers and the room quality has been reasonably consistent over the years and pricing is ok. Breakfast quality is basic. The coffee was somewhat weak. There is an egg station and some western and asian dishes.

This old home with its history and antique period furnishings is very well managed. Staff always available to help. Breakfast provided was good variety buffet of local and Continental items. The history lesson both in and of the house and Melaka was worth the stay. Air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds. Easy walk to historical areas of Melaka.

Great location. Very efficient, polite staff. Interesting and comfortable lounge/foyer area. Clean and comfort rooms with everything you need. (The laundry service was wonderful). The only thing to note is that the ground floor room we had looked out onto a walkway and so we didn’t open our shutters for privacy reasons. I’d stay here again and would recommend this hotel but ask for an upstairs room.

Beautiful hotel with lots of cultural heritage set in middle of historic center of Malacca. Everything is walkable within 20 minutes. Room is clean and modern, staff attentive and friendly, and with excellent onsite services. A real gem!

Very beautiful lobby, feel so relaxed upon entering. Lovely courtyard too. Service is good and staff are very accommodating towards requests. Value for money. Rooms are rather dated, not the cleanest but ok acceptable. Basic amenities provided. Buffet breakfast is very basic but sufficient and menu of hot items changed on the 2 nights we stayed. Very convenient location - near to good dining options and Jonker Street. Walkable to St Paul Hill and A Famosa.

Understated Luxury

Stayed here with my daughter. The hotel has an aura of olde worlde grandeur. It is very peaceful inside with the Chinese influence evident in all the furnishings and decor. The courtyard garden is a calm oasis. Our room was quite shady during the day but that is welcome as it is so hot outside in Malacca. It is situated one street back from where the night market is and was only a short walk. Perfectly situated.
