To us this hotel i can see as a 5 star for service, food provision, and cleaniliess. Everyone and everything was excellent from start to finish. Very helpful, which was great this first time in Sweden. We will definitely use this, and the chain again!!

Great place but address the ventilation issue

I really love Clarion. Their breakfast is great, the location is super central, rooms are good and the views are stunning over the whole Malmö. One thing that bothers me is that there’s no way to switch the ventilation / AC and it keeps on blowing. Making the room quite cold and windy. The only way to “pause” it is to remove the key card from the electricity plug but that makes it impossible to have light etc. as soon as you put the key card back in, the ventilation starts. The reception couldn’t help with that.

A nice alternative to Copenhagen

This is more like a business hotel rather than a holidaying type hotel, which might explain the absence of some trimmings such as slippers and amenity/ vanity kits. Or it could just be the hotel’s eco values. A nice and quiet stay nonetheless as an alternative to staying in Copenhagen, which was fully booked during the days of Copenhell and 3daysofdesign except for places charging exuberant prices. Even including the return train tickets from Malmö everyday was still cheaper than CPH. The downside is that if one is to travel further into the suburbs of CPH, it could take up to 1.5hrs or more to get there. If only travelling to CPH city centre, then it’s only 30 mins.

Taxi booking was awful

Very bad experience with the taxi they booked for the transfer to the airport. Taxi driver try constantly to force me to pay with cash and when i had no cash, he started staring at me the entire trip. I hope that he will not be able to get to transfer other tourist… this is something that should not happen in a nice place like Sweden. Taxi number 97 name: Al Altwani Hussen

Bra läge och förväntad fin standard.

Ett bra och väl lokaliserat, stort hotell. Motsvarar sitt pris och är så opersonligt som man kan vänta sig. Trevlig sky bar som dock stängde redan kl 23 under semestervecka. Det enda negativa med rummet var att det inte går att öppna fönster.

Inte världsklass

Det märks att det är några år på nacken. Nästan stopp i handfatet och duschen. Droppade från vattenlåset så vi hade en fast handduk under för att ha ett torrt golv att gå på. Hårtorken luktade farligt bränt när vi använde den. Sängarna sköna. Rummet var inte genomgånget korrekt då det var matrester och en antibiotika flaska kvar i minibaren. Den fylldes inte på heller trots att vi bodde flera nätter. Sämsta av allt är hisslogistiken kunde ta 10-12 minuter att få komma ner till frukosten. Sen att man även uppmanades att låta städningen vara är en sak men när priset är så pass högt så tycker jag inte att man ska uppmana till att spara pengar åt hotellet.
