It was wonderful to be right on the rim! The bartenders and servers were so friendly. Parking was a little tough since it was open to the public.

Great central place to stay in the park.

Wonderful historic lodge with beautiful views. You can see the lodge from Hermit road overlooks. Food options were fair. They offered coffee/tea service for the mornings but never had it

The location is awesome and the hotel Is rich in traditional decor. However- be aware that our “Terrace” room was on the basement floor with a view of the back parking lot.

Very convenient location within the park. Good dining options. Historic charming building. However some renovation would be needed to regain ambiance what I believe one was there.

8/10 Very good

This is a lovely hotel with an incomparable location. Although expensive, the room was quite nice and a good size. The restaurant food was well beyond expectation for a national park hotel, and the service of the staff at breakfast was exceptional. Hard to beat being able to see the canyon outside our window and step outside to the edge at sunrise!

The location is amazing - right on the rim. Parking is a challenge and the circulation system around the hotel is confusing. The room is really nice, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant was awesome. Main feature is of course the Grand Canyon right outside the front door. Perfect!

6/10 Good

Stayed one night. When is right clean and perfectly adequate perhaps a little dated and could be modernised without raising the traditional touches fan was extremely noisy and little quirk such as not been able to charge phone from Bed not problematic but reflected how the age of the building

10/10 Exceptional

We had such a lovely stay at El Tovar! The view of the Grand Canyon was absolutely stunning, and the hotel had a really clean, cozy feel to it. The front desk staff were super kind and helpful, which made us feel really welcome. One of our favorite parts was the live piano music at night. It was so relaxing after a long day of driving. Most of all, I’m really grateful we got to create such a special memory here together. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and I’d love to come back again someday!
