Great river view, quiet room

We have driven through Riggins dozens of times, but this was the first overnight stay. I'm glad we chose this hotel. The view of the river from our room was incredible, and we were able to walk to a fishing spot nearby. The continental breakfast had decent options for all of us. We're definitely coming back.

A haven in a rustic town.

My husband kept referring to Riggins as a one horse town. This is incorrect as there are probably more horses than people in this podunk. The room was on the verge of being dated, but comfy and clean enough. Given the rest of the town, it was a modern miracle. The view overlooking the river and mountains is spectacular and they provide cookies and milk to guests at 7PM which is a nice touch. My daughter slept on the pull-out sofa which greatly needs to be updated and wouldn't be comfortable to anyone over 11 years or 65 lbs. Bar city. But she slept sideways so it worked out for us.

Always have enjoyed the view, location, and the breakfast, always had eggs, bacon or sausage. We have appreciated that because my wife has celiac, and is very restricted on being able to eat food with gluten. This last time the breakfast was pretty much mostly gluten even the muffin or biscuit sandwiches. Not a dealbreaker, just we were a bit disappointed because she has always enjoyed the variety there.

Wonderful first time experience

My wife and I haven't had a chance to get away for a good while. We picked Salmon Rapids Lodge because we have wanted to check out Riggins for a few years now. The room was nice and clean upon our arrival. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived early due to traffic being better than expected. The staff provided us with nice things to do for a few hours while they finished getting our room ready. The breakfast was good and we slept ok. We expressed some minor concerns to the staff about our stay and they made note of it, fixed it promptly. The pool was outstanding! Just the right temperature, not cold, not hot, just right. We had a wonderful time around the town, people were very friendly. It made for a really good and relaxing weekend trip. We will be back again some other time to check out the trails and perhaps do a rafting trip!
