The place is in nice proximity to Monarch Mtn, but it is a tired property, with rather thin walls.

Used to be a Nice Place
This hotel has so much potential and was probably a wonderful place about 20-30 years ago. It is in much need of repairs. There were ceilings about to collapse due to water damage. It could use a good cleaning (dead flies in the window sills). I understand we were going into the "off-season" but the staff was a skeleton crew. They were however very nice.

Room was good size with microwave and tiny fridge. Bath had zero hot water. You will see this comment in other reviews. Yes, zero hot water and the cold is very cold.

The property is rustic and a little plain. On the other hand it's close to Monarch mountain and the ski resort, so that was a good trade off.

Cold and dark
This place is quirky and dark. Probably hasn’t been updated since the early 80s. Only one of the beds was comfortable to sleep in and had to cram into one. The heat was broken and it was 60 degrees the whole time in the room.

The room we booked was listed to sleep 5. It only had 2 queen beds. No other bed. The staff was helpful and got us a roll away but the listing was wrong. Some of the listed amenities don’t work but good place for price.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The view was amazing, and wonderful service. Food was great! The hotel is older, and has so much character. A breath of fresh air from the newer, busy hotels. I will be back to visit again soon!

This place has never been renovated. Housekeeping every other day, even garbage was not removed from the room. Water in the shower was cold at pick hours. Hot tub outside is just too cold NOT HOT.
The housekeepers stole our portable grill, they returned it.. but still I didn’t want to have this kind of experience.
Best part is location. 5-10 min to the ski resort

Like the price, no a/c so we had to buy a fan. Nearest town is like 10 min with more options for food. Really glad we had a place to rest.
