8/10 Very good

A very enjoyable and memorable stay!
We have just had a great weekend at Lake Naivasha Resort. We stayed in a room rather than one of the "tents". The room was comfortable and clean, though rather "tired" - but at the price it was excellent value for that location. The water supply and the electricity did go off for awhile - but that is something we are used to in Kenya. But leaving aside those minor inconveniences, the beautiful Resort grounds, the excellent location on the lake, the helpful and friendly staff and the exciting things to do, made this a very enjoyable and memorable stay.
The complimentary cooked breakfast was excellent - lots of it and to our liking. And throughout the day you can get food at the outside bar, as well as lunch at the restaurant. Evening meals are served in the restaurant from 7.30pm and the servings are very generous.
The highlight of our stay was when we took a boat ride on the lake to a conservation area called Crescent Island (though it is actually a peninsula) where we were able to walk about with the wildlife and get up close to giraffes and zebra. There are no predators on the peninsula (except a few hyenas) so the animals are not really afraid. The impala and wildebeest were rather more shy, but we still got fairly close them as well. We also got very close to hippos on the boat ride to and from the peninsula.
Overall, we strongly recommend the Lake Naivasha Resort as a reasonably priced place to stay in this beautiful location.
