Noisy hotel

Rooms although a good design are very tired and need a face lift. Shower head in my room needs a proper clean and descale. Breakfast is very average at best. Staff helpful at reception. The nearby nightclub is very noisy with thumping music making sleep difficult!

Wonderful Staff!

Great hotel, awesome location - the room was well appointed and clean. A good breakfast served each morning of our stay. the staff were excellent and very helpful, particularly assisting us recover a passport left in a taxi on arrival. Will definitely stay again when next in Istanbul.

Quirky industrial style hotel

Arrived slightly early so accepted the wait for a room. Returning some 2 hours later and into the check-in hours, room still not ready. A further 15 minutes wait. When allocated room was informed we’d been upgraded. Nice surprise. Getting into the room - can’t understand what the upgrade was. Nice size room, but dusty and slight smell of drain. Strange set-up to the bathroom where you need to pass through the shower to get to the loo. Comfortable bed. One TV channel in English which played the same news report on a loop for the couple of days we were there, really ridiculous. The key card indicated 24/7 room service which led us to believe we could order a meal at round midnight when we came to the room. Well- surprise- there’s 4 DRINKS on room service and NO food. Complained- and response was- order from outside. What the heck! Really unacceptable/ then state you’ve got no room service! Staff at front desk were friendly, which was a saving grace. Restaurant for breakfast was cozy and nice selection on offer including great omelettes. Very busy side street on which the entrance is daily had rubbish piled high- awful to have to trudge past it to get to the door. Surely this garbage can be moved away from the area, poor reflection on Hotel The Public. So - in summary- this can ge a great little place if little changes can be made. Location is just a minute from Istiklal Street, which is awesome.

Nice hotel - noisy main street

The hotel is really nice and the staff is friendly but I stayed in two separate rooms, both facing the main street and you’ll need ear plugs for sleeping for the ones on the upper floors. Breakfast is delicious.

Amazing experience staying at Hotel The Public! The service was amazing, and they have a great breakfast offering. The location is perfect and a short walk from Taksim square. We felt very safe, and would like to extend a huge thank you to the gentlemen that work there. When we come back to Istanbul, we will be staying here again!

Beautiful Boitique Hotel - Perfect Location

Beautiful Boutique Hotel in the most amazing location. Just off the main shopping street in Taksim - The best location for Istanbul! The hotel has some really stunning art and decor. The rooms are small but the space well used and perfect if you book a room with a balcony. Highly recommended!

Great Boutique Hotel!!

It’s a great boutique hotel located next to Istiklal Street, accessible to everything. The interior design is eclectic and very cool. Very friendly and helpful personnel. The room we stayed at the rooftop have low ceilings and the bathroom was small, but might not be the case with the guest rooms on the other floors. In general, it was great staying there!!

This Hotel is in the heart ❤️ of Istanbul. Walking distance to the most popular sites. Staff was amazing, courteous from Mevlut to Delara. The breakfast was absolutely devine, a variety of everything to eat. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends. Delara made my stay special with an upgrade to the best room with the best view to Istiklal Street. I will definitely be back to Hotel the Public. ❤️❤️❤️

the hotel is more of a small three star boutique hotel than a four star. The room was clean and perfectly located on Istiklal street for shopping, a late night walk, clubbing but this make it in the middle of a very noisy district with a club that doesn't shut until early morning so if you have trouble sleeping with noise, this is definitely not a good choice for you. Otherwise the staff are helpful, the hotel is well located and rooms are fairly priced.

The day before arriving they switch our rooms to a building down the street with no lobby. They said the rooms we had booked had no windows, so while the new rooms had a window with a decent view, we were no longer in the hotel and had no lobby or facilities.

Amazing Boutique Hotel

What a wonderful hotel and staff! This hotel is located at the heart of İstiklal Street. It is at the centre of everything and all the sights. You can walk to Galata Tower, Karakőy, Eminőnů, Dolmabahce and so on. Rooms were very clean and staff was absolutely amazing. İsmail went beyind his duties and helped us to get a vehicle in front of the hotel even though the road was closed for traffic. We stayed here for our wedding and our guests also loved the hotel. I cannot find anything wrong about it.

Lovely little hotel

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of things ! The breakfast was fantastic, we stayed in a superior room it was really nice -yes a little noisy but no problem fir our 3 night stay . Beirut and Osman were super helpful as were all staff To management I would like to point out that the lighting in rooms could be improved- not good for night readers . Also the shower /toilet configuration is the wrong way around! The water sits on shower floor then if u need to use the toilet you have to pass on the wet floor this is not good at all

I had really bad experience with them . I had done the booking through hotel.com . When i reached hotel at 11 pm with 8 years old kid they said my booking has been cancelled . I would never recommend them at all . The only good they had was their location .
