Good hotel for one or two nights in Cologne. Just steps from the historic center, the most beautiful part of the old city. The service from the staff was excellent. It is true that the rooms are a little dated but they are clean and comfortable. Less than a five minute walk away I was able to see one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

The hotel room was very tired and in need of a revamp. It was also very small. The old wooden panelling makes the room feel dirty when it wasn’t. There is plenty of hot water, toiletries and the room is cleaned each day. The area is extremely safe with shops, bars, restaurants, the port and bus station all within walking distance. The river front is also very near. Breakfast - most of the items were very sweet, although there were some ordinary bread rolls. The fruit looked bruised. Eggs can be purchased at an extra cost. You don’t need more than two days to explore Colonia.

A terrific hotel for the price. It is about three blocks to the river and the old city. We were met by three charming guys at the desk who spoke excellent English. They directed us to parking (free and right outside the hotel) and terrific restos. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple and just fine.
