Quiet hotel, one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, the food was delicious - I really can't fault it. Worth every penny. A gorgeous property with beautiful grounds. Expensive and the bed was an old-fashioned uncomfortable spring mattress. Food was average and service for dinner was extremely slow. Walking the grounds was wonderful, and our breakfast haggis and sandwich for lunch were quite good.

Traditional setting

Hotel is older style, which is nice but communal areas, main dining room is needed refurb to keep style, but to make facilities plusher for 5 star rating. We stayed hilltop retreats, very nice & more modern. We'll set out for self catering. Overall good stay, a bit expensive for what it was.
