We felt like we discovered a hidden gem on the beach. The ambiance was lovely and the food at the Casa Maria Mexican Grill was the best food we have ever tasted. The cabins are very rustic and very small. Every morning there was noise from a truck standing on the street next to our cabin (king ocean view) for up to 30 minutes. The nights were very hot (April) and the fan insufficient to cool us down. We couldn’t use the beach at all (nobody did) due to heavy seaweed (see picture), and the whole place looks a bit rundown, with tarps on some of the roofs.

This boutique hotel was the home away from home for us. We only left to check out the ruins and the beach! From an amazing check-in, to fantastic staff and amazing food, we can’t wait to come back again!
