Ideal place to stay if visiting Badlands National Park, due to proximity.
1-night trip

10/10

Wonderful hotel! We stayed here for 1 night while traveling to the Badlands. Proximity to the national park is incredible, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’d highly recommend staying here! Very budget friendly and you definitely get a great deal :)

10/10

Charming old style motel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Older building, but clean and maintained. Perfect location for visiting Badlands National Park, less than 5 minute from entrance.

Spacious room, clean, quiet. Good view of the badlands from the property.

4/10

The location was excellent! The people were lovely. However, the room needed cleaning up.
2-night trip

10/10

Simple room was old, but main room had new floors and beds were comfortable. Bathroom small and worn, but functional. Overall great for the money and really close to the national park
2-night trip

6/10

We booked the room because we liked how close it was to the national park. The room seemed to be kinda run down. I know they are in the process of updating their rooms so we may have gotten one that was not updated. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was poor. The people running the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The town is extremely small so plan accordingly. The only restaurants near by are bars.
2-night trip

8/10

The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom seemed like it hadn't been updated in quite some time. The carpet in our room was also a little dingy. Perhaps replacing with laminate is the plan as I saw other rooms with that. We were content staying here and understand the housing units are older which makes it harder to maintain. Overall, we were thankful for a soft, clean place to land.
1-night trip

10/10

Old rustic hotel and basic necessities provided: towels, soap, and shampoo & conditioner, 1 small bag of ice for every 2 nights. Air conditioning unit is very loud but it helped to cover neighbors’ noise since the walls are very thin. Has a small fridge, tv and coffee maker. Main office has convenient items for purchase and staff is very nice and friendly. About 2 - 3 places to eat near hotel. Mainly pizza/chicken nuggets/hamburgers type of food. Runs about $12-20/person. The best reason to stay at the hotel is the distance from The Badlands National Park and the price.
3-night trip

8/10

We loved this motel and Campground in Interior, SD, and recommend it as a comfortable and safe spot to stay while exploring the Badlands. We stayed in a motel room. It was just fine for the price. It was very clean and we were very comfortable. They are about to embark on a major remodel so I won't bother mentioning what needs to be updated. There are very few options for food in the tiny town so be prepared. We did eat at The Wagon Wheel. Very friendly local bar with freezer to fryer food and burgers. Cowboy Corner is a little convenience store with drip coffee anything you might need.

10/10

A great little stay, older rooms but you can tell they put love into it. Our shower didn’t drain that well but I didn’t expect much considering the location/low price. The view outweighs any negative, and you’re not really in your room often in a place like this. Nice little store in the office area for food, supplies, souvenirs. Was given a map and some tips for exploring the local area, as well as being directed to the Wagon Wheel for late night food. I’d recommend this to anyone coming through the area.
