Yes, this place is on the older side but it’s exactly what you might expect from a hotel/campground. It’s quiet, clean and literally just outside of the park entrance. I would definitely stay here again. (Pool is not in service and we could not get tv to work, but we were here for Badlands anyway.)

I would recommend staying here to anyone. The checkin was easy, people were friendly. The little store and office are a bit run down and dated but room was nice sized and very clean. It appeared to have been recently remodeled and the bathroom was spacious for the size of room. I was disappointed the pool was not in working order, Overall I highly recommend!!!!

Efficient and close to park
Simple room was old, but main room had new floors and beds were comfortable. Bathroom small and worn, but functional. Overall great for the money and really close to the national park

Location is great and desk staff are friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom is worn and dated. The regular beds were comfortable but the pull out soda bed needs to be replaced as I could feel the support wires through the mattress. Good supply of toiletries and appreciated the regular and decaf coffee oprions.

Badlands
It was a very basic day. They advertise for the Poole, which was not working and when I asked her about it, they said that amenities were not guaranteed. The Front Desk seem not to know what they were doing when I ask questions. You would only stay here if you needed to be near the park

Do yourself a favor, drive to Wall instead
My room had a fly infestation (they know it is a problem, since they supply a fly swatter). After killing about 40 flies, I thought ok, it’s gross in here but I am exhausted. Opened up the bed, took one look at the filthy sheets and left immediately.

Excellent location and great value for the price. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Very close to the entrance of the Badlands made it convenient to return for the evening programs. Word of advice: dining choices are very scarce. We had an ok burger at the Wagon Wheel Bar and Grill for dinner. No decent options for breakfast although the motel did offer some food. Next time I would bring some yogurt or breakfast food and stick it in the room fridge.

Decent if you are only using room to sleep
We booked the room because we liked how close it was to the national park. The room seemed to be kinda run down. I know they are in the process of updating their rooms so we may have gotten one that was not updated. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was poor. The people running the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The town is extremely small so plan accordingly. The only restaurants near by are bars.

The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom seemed like it hadn't been updated in quite some time. The carpet in our room was also a little dingy. Perhaps replacing with laminate is the plan as I saw other rooms with that. We were content staying here and understand the housing units are older which makes it harder to maintain. Overall, we were thankful for a soft, clean place to land.
