The property is kids friendly. I think they could of had better choices for breakfast. We order off the menu and there were 6 items in it to choose from. The hotel has shuttle to the beach which is very convenient. We also used the complementary beach chairs and the bathroom at the beach.

Our first time at this resort and we are very happy that we choose. The staff and manager (Josephine) was very friendly. Many thanks to Eddie and Henry the servers and chef who cooked our "catch of the day" for three days on the row. Chelsea,the receptionist helped us booking another 2 days and we didn't have to move the another room. The pools were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to return to this piece of paradise and we highly recommend it.

Nice hotel but overpriced for what is on offer especially if you are places in the older rooms above the reception area. Our room was very loud as it was above the restaurant and the screen door feel off. Staff were awesome and moved us to a different room for the second night. Great location and nice grounds but there are nicer options in the area around Playa Carrillo for a similar price.

I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food.
