The location is great. It is walkable to everything, so the free parking is a great perk. The staff was very helpful. We asked about no fridge in the room as we needed to keep some medication cold and they sent one right up.

Lovely Hotel with Perfect Location

We just absolutely love the ambience of the hotel, friendly staff. The rooms were adorable. I loved the little touches. Excellent location. We ate at both the Tavern for dinner the food was delicious. We went to breakfast at Nathaniel’s and the incredible. We were able to see the witches museum and the park right from our room. Can’t wait to come back!

In the heart of salrm

It is an older historical hotel so the rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny but that was ok since it is 100 years old. Staff was great, we needed a small refrigerator and that bought it fast!

My daughter and I had a fun, witchy time in Salem. The Hawthorne is perfectly placed close to everything she wanted to see. The food and drinks at the Tavern were fantastic; the staff knowledgeable and caring, and the hotel beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location and Historic Hotel

Very cool historic hotel set the perfect vibe for an authentic Salem experience. The room was more spacious than expected, bed was comfortable, and room was quiet. We had one of the rooms where the shower was a separate room from the rest of the bathroom, which was interesting (see photos). Shower was nice and roomy, though. We didn’t try the restaurants. We had planned to do dinner at Nathanial’s, but it was closed the night of our stay. If I return to Salem, I would stay here again.
