Hotel Plaza Colonial is a gem. Very centrally located; one can walk to any place of interest in the Centro Colonial. The lovely pool area was an escape from the mid-day heat. There is no restaurant, but it's sister hotel, a block away, has a large dining room.

Beautiful Historical Hotel near the main Plaza.

This historical hotel was such a pleasure to stay in for two nights. I loved the history of the hotel, that in itself made our stay special. It was a short walk to central plaza and other places of interest.

Well located and comfortable hotel

Great secure on site parking with security. Front desk spoke English. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Shower had great water pressure. Right in centro and easy to walk everywhere. Did not have morning coffee or a restaurant. They only open the restaurant for large groups.

My wife and I had a junior suite on the corner of two fairly busy Calles. During the day, the noise from traffic was pretty loud, however at night it became non-existent. The room is spacious, the bed is Mexico-hard. We did get a good night's sleep. The hotel is only two blocks from the main square. We enjoyed our stay here for one night.

Great clean property but a little lacking in the amenities. A small fridge in the rooms for storing cold drinks would make your stay more comfortable. While there is a restaurant I never saw it open, you had to go across the street to its sister hotel for breakfast and to sit in the bar and have a cocktail.
