Every staff member we met from managers to adventure guides to gardening staff, waiters, and housekeeping all seemed to do their jobs with a happy heart and never failed to greet us even just in passing warmly. We had an amazing stay at Rio Perdido. The grounds are beautiful. We saw monkeys, an armadillo, and lots of beautiful birds. The dining was delicious and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The road getting there is a little daunting with all of the potholes, but that just made it even more of an adventure :)

After 10 years of traveling, This is one of my favorite hotels in the world. So much so that I went back for another visit and would definitely love to visit again. The road to the property needs some maintenance though, otherwise the property itself is still in great condition. I just love the architecture of this property that immerses itself in nature.
