Staff was incredible. Becky, Carlos, Silvana, Mr. Lopes our housekeeper Maria and the entire staff made the trip. They took care of everything we needed. This is the only place to stay in Praia.

This was my second time staying at the hotel. We were to stay 3 nights, however our flight from S. Filipe was cancelled therefore we missed or first night, we requested a refund of the first night since flight cancellation was no fault of ours, however it wasn’t honored, was disappointed with that, however, the stay was nice, staff were friendly and eager to help out. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Lunch was superb.

Decent three star hotel, standard sort of small island place. Staff are friendly. The beds aren't great though... the matresses are very basic, can feel the spring coils through the thin padding, and the pillows aren't very good either. The towels are nice and fluffly though.

We only stayed one night because we were traveling next day to the USA, the hotel and staffs were exceptional. Smooth transition from Check in to check out, staffs were friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a fresh fruit platter. Wish we all had enough time to enjoy their continental breakfast, which l was able to take a quick bite before we hurriedly headed to the airport. During out next trip to Caoeverde, We will definitely consider staying again at Hotel Pestana!

The people who work at reception rooms and breakfast are very good but this hotel in terms of menu need to change a lot of things. I don’t understand why if you order a plate of steak or fish it’s doesn’t come with any side. In terms of food and the management,this hotel is in a bad way

Before my trip I couldn't find out if Pestana Tropico or Oasis Atlantico was the best hotel in Praia, so I booked two nights on both. Now I am not in doubt - Pestana Tropico is the best! Only on location is it a bit inferior to Oasis Atlantico, bujt that is more then compensated for by the very service minded staff and the great restaurant. The pool area on Pestana Tropico is also much nicer than the one at Oasis Atlantico. When you book, try if you can get room 256, which is absolutely the best. Otherwise 252 or 254.
