This accommodation is a family business and provides very personal service. The location was in walking distance to many attractions and dining options. Hotel Golden is in the perfect location when visiting Rome! It’s a 15 minute walk to Trevi and the other major sites, but far enough out that you can avoid the massive crowds. There are numerous options to dine, literally right out the front door! However, contrary to Expedia’s description the hotel does not have laundry services or its own restaurant. We felt very safe at Hotel Golden. It is a family run business and the family resides on property.

My best travel decision yet

This is a basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Some might even call it a little dated. What sets them apart is their service. It is run by a dedicated family that takes such good care of their guests. Giuseppe was so kind to us when we had travel difficulties and went above board to solve them for us. Even after we had checked out! Such kindness is truly appreciated. I would heartily recommend this hotel to any traveling to Rome. And if I return to Rome, this is exactly where I hope to stay!

This is a family run hotel in a property that must have seen it glorious days. But it is well maintained and the age of the property add character which is a very nice change from the typical newer hotel. Also the friendliness of the people managing the property more than make for the lack of newer facility. I would like to specially mention the gentleman at the front desk name Giuseppe. He is always ready to help and provide good suggestions.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Only issue was the lack of 24 hour staff at the desk. This meant you need to pre-arrange to return the hotel after midnight or even leave the hotel prior to 6 am. We didn't realize we would need to he head to the train station prior to 6 and literally could not get out of the locked door.
