For the price it was a great basic place to stay.

This pub with rooms above, was exactly as stated. For one or maybe a few nights it was perfect. Yes the room looked a bit tired, although there were signs of fresh decoration going on in bedrooms. The host was more than lovely and her breakfast was excellent: catering too for my veggie husband. A great wee BnB. In the heart of Dumfries, 10 seconds from the Glasgow bus drop off. Upstairs was like being in an Escher painting which added to the fun after a meal out, trying to find our room!

Great location, value for money, very clean.

Easy to find and well situated for visitors to Dumfries, local transport links are also close by. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The breakfast was included in the price and was cooked to order, very tasty. There's a little street noise as you'd expect but the double glazing is great soundproofing. I'd recommend this place and I would definitely stay again.

Property has been long standing so, well used, but has that beautiful Scottish charm and helpfulness. The owners are wonderful and try hard to realise your every need. Also very cost effective for those that wish a short stay. Great with guidance on where to dine and what will meet your requirements

Centrally located and very affordable

Accessing the hotel defeated my sat-nav (there is only one route in) and the property, once located, lacks kerb appeal. However, the proprietess was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and spacious though they would have benefitted from a more efficient heating system. for a pub in a central location, it was surprisingly quiet at night. Breakfast was cooked to order and was plentiful. For the price it is excellent value. A good place for an overnight stay.

I loked the customer service the gentleman was clearly serving in the bar area, but took the time to carry my luggage upstairs to my room. The room was pretty basic which is what.id expected for the low price, but the room was clean, well facilitated and the bed was very comfortable. As i was just there for an overnight stay before an all weekend shift in a care service locally i certainly had no complaints. I would consider staying again Janice

A nice hotel. Big room and comfortable bed. A good powerful shower. Sadly I didn't get a chance to check out the car and food. Only criticism is the window (Bedroom 1) doesn't close tightly and there is no curtain in that room either. Admittedly it is a small window but still let's a lot of light in, when the outside security light illuminates.

Fantastic hosts

3 night stay for golfing weekend. Clean and comfortable room. Good size for a single room with double bed. Decent bathroom. Hot shower. All the basic amenities you need. Fantastic breakfast. Couldnt eat all mine. Just a heads up to anyone that the bar is open till 3am on weekends and does get loud. Especially at chuck out time when people are gathered outside waiting for taxis
