The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Service is very good. The double room was very clean and tidy. Also quite, though you do, as someone else has mentioned previously, hear the church bells. Have to say it was not a problem for me. The room was very comfortable, a lovely view along Church Lane and across the stone cottages. It has the usual room facilities. The bathroom facilities were very good, especially the shower, as it was one of the few that I have used in hotels that did not leak onto the floor.
Breakfast was continental style, quite large to be honest and includes local produce. The evening/dining food is very good, the food is fabulous. It was noted that the local residents go there to eat too. Plenty of car parking. Its a quite location well off the A303. Easy access to the two main museums locally, but also to other places of interest as well. The local village Queen Camel is also delightful, with its stone cottages. Very little traffic, so quite during the day as well as at night. Definitely would go back.
