Very nice Hotel

The hotel is amazing, but the spa and pool area is open from 10am to 7pm if you stay just 1 night (check in at 3pm and check out at 10am) you, can use the pool facilities for a max of 4 hours

NOT WHAT I EXPECED

IT WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. 1. The Asian sauna was supposed to be for men on the 1st and they simply didn't change it. 2. There is no space to relax in the sauna and baths. 3. The stone sauna is paid extra and they only provide a uniform; that is, the customer has to wear sweaty clothes.

8/10 Very good

This is a busy hotel and entertainment venue. So the staff are quite nervous or sensitive due to the complicated hotel system. There are many rules for guests to follow. Overall it may be good for families with children.

Great hotel, great onsens

It's like an onsen theme park. The fact that it doubles up as a hotel makes it a great stay as I love onsens.

FRUSTATING

FRUSTRATING!!! I came to the hotel on a date that would allow me to enjoy both the European and Asian sides of the sauna. On the scheduled day, they didn't change the sauna as promised and I couldn't do what I wanted most. So I only used the European side and, believe it or not, there were hundreds of people and only SIX chairs to relax. The hotel should know that in Europe, ALL saunas have huge rooms dedicated solely to relaxation, in other words, it's missing a lot of European flair. There's a part of the hotel called STONE SPA, and besides having to pay extra, they only provide ONE uniform; so you sweat a lot and have to relax in a uniform that's all soaked in sweat because they don't change the wet for the dry (if you want! This has to be a joke. IN SHORT: they lack customer service; management is completely focused on itself! And finally, check out is at 10 am (it's the only hotel I've ever been to with this outrageous time! They're strict at check-in at 3 PM).

8/10 Very good

Great stay for a night, and staff are friendly although don’t expect them to help you navigate as a tourist - they are only there to guide you into the facility. As such, luggage forwarding and stuff won’t be offered there - at least by the staff the served us. Coins/cash is still king here so bring some change for vending machines. If you get a Japanese style room, they also don’t set up your futon for you so book a western style room or look up how to set one up in advance. 4 people room was definitely a big squeeze. Otherwise fabulous hot spring and spa facilities. Showers for the hot springs are on the far end for both men and women so change and go all the way to the end first.

Exciting pools tired accommodation

The variety of pools and hot springs were stunning and the kids enjoyed it. We were assigned a smokedup room which was not pleasant. The decor is also crumbling a bit on the edges.

One of the best hotel with public bath. Extreme variety of public baths and saunas. Breakfast was great.
Cussons, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The things that you need to carry to while you stay is ridiculous. You need a QR arm band, a key for the shoe locker, and also a room card. I think All these could be combined in one card or bracelet for hotel entry ?? Also the security at the hotel is too much. My child didn’t have a wrist band and the security guard tried to grab him from me- pulled him out of my arms! He was hysterical and crying. Purely unacceptable way to treat a guest. Better idea would be to visit for a day, the spa is lovely and stay somewhere else close by. Neighborhood is awesome.
Marissa, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was great having access to the onsen facility. Would stay there again. Conveniently located to the train station. Dining options within walking distance, and a few options in the hotel aswell.
Janella Rose, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

The hotel doesn’t allow people going in to wear shoes in ALL hotel area, including the hotel room area and in the elevator. But they don’t provide disposable paper slippers neither. So to go to the onsen, you must walk with only your socks / bare feet for 5 min to get there. Then after onsen, you need to choose to walk back to the room with your DIRTY socks on again / bare feet. The point is I actually saw people often accidentally wore shoes and walked around the hotel area but the staff didn’t say a thing. The floor is totally unhygienic. Also the staff spoke very very poor English that you couldn’t communicate with them without any translator.

6/10 Good

Decent resort with hidden costs and inconvenience

Pros- Conveniently located nearby subway and JR stations, clean as they do not allow shoes inside, complementary breakfast had many options, Pool for kids was clean, front office staff helped us quickly to change the room because of toilet not working. Cons-Automatic Checkin was inconvenient as kiosk was not scanning passports, room key and qr codes on bands were non working and we had to go every morning to get room keys and bands working, access to pool is very inconvenient. If a father is taking a 6yr old daughter, they have to access different floors as men's changing room is on 6th floor, women's changing room is on 4th floor and you can access elevator to pool only through changing rooms, building with smoking rooms smelled terrible although our room was changed from smoking to non smoking as we were traveling with a child, some taxes were not mentioned on Hotels.com when I did the reservation.

8/10 Very good

Great onsen stay, overall satisfied

Goods things: 1) Magnificent onsens. Very large and comfortable. I managed to try both 4/F European style and 6/F Asian style; both worth the visit. All the pictures of the onsen you see online - they are reflection of the truth, if reality wasn't even better. They operate overnight (only close for ~2hrs 8-10am.) 2) Most staff were nice. Very limited command of English, yet they would translate with cellphone right away to communicate with you; so overall didn't have too much issues. Would like to especially acknowledge Ms Tonokai - we had a little problem in the room during the stay (minor stuff), she immediately accompanied me to my room to investigate. This was talking about midnight. 3) Near to subway station; as long as you choose the right exit, elevators etc available on the way so no a problem even if large suitcases. 4) Within 10mins walk to JR and Nankai. 5) Restaurants available till late. Not especially tasty but price was fair. 6) Generous, reception offered to let us use the onsens before check-in time and after check-out. 7) Donki, Daiso, convenient store within a few mins walk. Some room for improvement: 1) The logistic was a bit clunky for hotel customers as the rules were designed for onsen day visitors - having to take off shoes is annoying; should have a path from hotel building to outside without crossing onsen area. Also the pass to leave hotel is unnecessary, could have just used the key card. 2) Would be nice to provide bottle water
Man Cho Leung, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced. 1. Inconvenient Access: On the day of my arrival, it was raining. Unluckily, to reach the hotel, guests must climb a long flight of stairs—no elevators are available. Although there’s an escalator in the carpark, it’s closed due to the high traffic from people heading to the spa world. And finally we had to lug our heavy luggage up the stairs. 2.Lack of Assistance: Upon arrival, there was no staff to assist with check-in. We were left to navigate the self-check-in process without proper guidance. 3. Confusing Luggage Handling: As we arrived early, the staff shuffled us around regarding luggage storage. Finally, we were directed to a luggage room where we had to store our belongings ourselves—an arrangement that felt unsafe. 4. Room Issues: Once in our room, we discovered that the air conditioner was leaking, leaving water on the carpet. 5. Public Bath Challenges: The public bath area lacked clear instructions for body cleaning. After searching for 10 min., I found 3 bathing areas, but 2 out of 3 was blocked. It raised doubts about hygiene due to this matter, as no one can ensure if all guests will goto public bath after cleaning. 6. Checkout Dilemma: We checkout on next day, we were surprised that the hotel didn’t offer luggage storage services. Guest are unable to return after checkout. We need pay extra cost and store our luggage in neaby JR station. So inconvenience! Overall, the service was very disappointing.
