Lovely location and very helpful staff. The rooms were large and comfortable but perhaps a little dated for some people.plenty of hot water and a good shower. The food is very enjoyable and a good ammount to.chhose from for breakfast. We will return when next working in the area.
We have stayed on 2 occasions and find the hotel ideal for our needs.

The only issue had was that we thought the breakfast could have been hotter. The other food was excellent. Our car broke down as we were leaving but the staff were lovely. Made it clear we were welcome to stay inside while we waited for the RAC. They couldnât have been better

Overall the stay was good. Room was a bit cold early evening, but our overnight sleep was too hot as the quilt tended to cocoon our body.
The surrounding areas were excellent for walks and not to mention the food as it was beautiful

Friendly staff, welcoming team. The hotel was veery busy for a function, so perhaps some things were overlooked.
The room was fine, perhaps a bit tired. No hairdryer was available, there were three coat hangers. A tea and coffee making station was present.
My bathroom shower soap dispenser was empty, the carpet clearly could have done with a hoover.

Lovely grand old building. Rooms were decent. Shower is rubbish could do with investing in more modern showers.
Breakfast was good and the bar was well stocked.
Good place to stay to visit the borders

Had a lovely stay. 1 comment would be that the bathroom in the room we were in is needing updated.

We have stayed here several times and enjoyed the location. We feel that the rooms are ready for updating - the staff on duty were all young men who looked as if they had worked all weekend without a break ! It wasnât as welcoming as it had been in the past. We were also disappointed with our evening meal.

A beautiful, comfortable clean space with excellent, helpful friendly staff. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside where the river Tweed runs at the bottom of the garden and the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey next door. There are walks to suit all straight from the front door.

We loved staying in this beautiful old hotel. The staff were so kind and treated us like we were the only ones there. The food was delicious and the head chef was so thoughtful that she put a vegetarian dish on the menu for me. We only planned to stay one or two nights but couldnât bring ourselves to leave and ended up staying 4 nights.
