An attractive oldish house outside but completely refurbished in a relaxed contemporary style inside. We enjoyed a large comfortable ensuite room overlooking a little internal courtyard. Although on the main road there was little traffic noise. Perer, in reception was welcoming and friendly.. we would definitely stsy here again

Stayed here for work, nice reception from Peter. Shown to room (which had its own bathroom not ensuite). Bed was comfortable, decaf tea and coffee provided on request. TV channels in room were running from a computer and were not reliable, started watching one channel and then it just went and could not get it back. Free parking on site at venue.

Lovely room and amazing shower. A few things that would improve overall visit- the green emergency light above the bedroom door casts light into the room all night and really impacts sleep for people who need a dark room? It was rather like having a nightlight you could not switch off. Would also be nice to have more than one towel and a mirror in the bedroom to dry hair. Comfortable bed but I didn’t sleep well due to the light issue unfortunately

the room itself was good, clean, but sparsely furnished. Curtains/blinds were flimsy and see-through. Breakfast: my scrambled eggs were cold and the bacon so tough you could not cut it. Problems with heating: thermostat turned down to almost zero, bathroom towel rail roasting hot, so had to leave bathroom skylight open all night. Other guests staying had no heating. My brother and wife couldn't get into their room after returning at 10.30. Night manager eventually appeared in his pyjamas. Overall, would give our experience 4 out of 10 and would not recommend the Kingsley. It is vastly overpriced.
