Spent a pleasant night with my wife at The Talbot Hotel and we were well looked after by Craig and his colleagues. The hotel dates back to the 1600s and is very atmospheric and full of history. Although no evening meal was available the full English breakfast in the morning was excellent. Would stay again.

It was close to the wedding venue and had an OK breakfast. The staff were quite helpful but it was badly let down by the smell in the place which was not great and also dowsed with cheap air sprays making it hard to breath (I have asthma). The bed was ok and seemed clean despite the odd stain that hadn’t washed out of the sheet. The shower was good and clean but the bathroom had mould elsewhere and paint/plaster coming off the ceiling.

The hotel overall was good but dated; fine for an overnight stop. The shower was good. Beds were comfortable. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked.

This is an inn with character, convenient as a stopping place between the Birmingham area and Shropshire and the Welsh borders.

A fantastic find in a delightful little country town surrounded by beautiful countryside. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and happily recommended other places to eat that evening as the kitchen was closed when we arrived. Proper pub inside as well with great beers and cider on pump. Would happily stay here again!

Hotel has character and looks dated. However, it is excellent value! My twin room was comfortable, large and with an updated, modern shower. Evening meal not served on a Sunday (day of my stay) since lunch is served 2-5pm. Breakfast was excellent. Staff welcoming and helpful.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating, breakfast was delish (full English) served with a smile. However the room I was in needed a good spring clean, bedding I could not fault, but needed a really good hoover, wall wiped down where tea/coffee facilities were and the shower tiles given a good scrub down. In perspective though for a B&B in a beautiful village for that price it was a bargain.
