The outside was dirty with men all over the place and garbage bin on the side of the hotel but inside it was good, big room, nice bathroom, clean beddings and well + air-conditioning, big closet but no balcony in my room.

The room was simple, but comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the view from the rooftop at night. The location was very convenient for walking to the Psirri district and we enjoyed the restaurants, shops and nightlife there. It is a fairly easy walk to Monastiraki Square and the light rail station. They provide a good breakfast for a nominal price. Would recommend if you are looking for a budget stay in a convenient location.

It’s such a fun place to stay! The rooftop bar is a hit and a great place to meet friends and enjoy a view. Only note would be that the area around it looks seedy. Great experience and highly recommend.

I booked the AThens Hawks hostel based on price, location and reviews. I wasn’t expecting a lot for the price but was really impressed with the place. We arrived late due to Taxi strike, but someone was a reception and was very welcoming. Our room was big, modern, clean and better than anything we’ve stayed in so far, for a lot more money. The breakfast was great, loved the big room and selection. The location wasn’t perfect part of town,but close to downtown. We would stay there again! We stayed 2 nights and the reception was always very helpful. They get 5 stars from us.

Overall the twin share room was good. Decent bathroom for once. The only down side was a few cleanliness aspects. One of the sets of sheets on the bed had a few holes in it. The quilt on the bed also seemed like they could have been washed. The floor didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly. But overall was a decent stay. The lift is tiny, so be patient if you’re travelling with lots of bags and a few guests

It was good and for most part friendly, difficult to make new friends because everyone want to go alone or has to a take a flight!!! ,cold room at night remember I went in the winter, Lovely bartender gurl and pet ❤️. The Neighborhood could use a clean up and more security....

The staff were really great, the room was larger and more comfortable than I had expected which was great (I took a private room with a private shower). However the street the hostel is on was terrifying, filled with groups of immigrant men lurking around at all hours of the day and night. It was also incredibly noisy during the one night I stayed there as people filled the streets to celebrate some world-cup nonsense until 3AM, honking car horns, shouting and shooting fireworks. The area just up the road towards the main square has a lot of police presence, so if you're traveling solo, it is worth spending a bit more on one of the larger hotels right on the square, especially if you are a woman solo traveler. I literally had to take a taxi for just 400 meters as it was too dangerous to walk to the hostel after sundown, the Greek taxi driver walked me to the door and told me not to come out alone at night. That says a lot

Overall this is a pretty good hostel to stay in considering the price. The view from the rooftop bar is incredible and everything inside was super clean. All of doors to the rooms are keycard access so no one can wonder in. There’s also a nice social space on the 1st floor. The area around the hostel is not the safest or cleanest place to stay in Athens; however, I never had any issues walking around by myself. There were some guys staying at another hostel (I believe it was north of this one) who saw multiple people at night shooting themselves up so be aware of that. My main complaint is that the bunk room I stayed in was extremely hot. I understand that there are AC regulations in the city and it was July but even when it was on it felt like it did nothing. I was constantly sweating through the whole night. I never went into anyone else’s room so I’m not sure if it was a hostel wide problem. I also did not ask the staff about it because I was not staying long. So be aware of that if you’re sensitive to temperature. Despite that, I would still stay here again but hopefully in room with better AC.
