I really wanted this hotel to be charming given the spacious room and location however it was a disappointment and another reason to remember to read reviews so I have noted the good, bad and ugly. Good: The large room, reasonably comfortable bed and sofa bed, nice cotton bed linen, a great deep bath, location close to Trocadero and Eifel but still a decent walk, handy to restaurants and some clothes shops in Passy ( 20min walk)… great bakery La Pompadour. Receptionist on until midnight and carried our bags up to room. Bad: The hotel is tired and dirty, the plants are all dead in the flower boxes, we waited for a good 15 minutes until someone appeared to check us in, we had booked a triple executive room with one Queen Bed and a Twin but when we were shown the room it was a Queen plus a Sofa Bed which we were expected to pull out ourselves - the receptionist however did do it for us after we asked how it worked. The bed is in a nook with curtains so no sound separation. The room itself is large but the bathroom is behind the bed with a bed head and curtains as a screen and no door so no quiet ablutions - fortunately the toilet is separate with a door. The shower was good but flooded into the bathroom and the placement of the basin taps meant spray went everywhere and no elevator . The Ugly: Bed cover had stains everywhere, there was a large oily stain on seat of the armchair, mouldy grout on shower floor plus stood on metal filings in the carpet. Wish it was better!
