We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, we live in Lima, so three hrs bus ride on Peru Bus VIP( can be booked online) got us here safely and quickly. As for Chincha, it is a dusty, horrible dump, but the climate is much warmer, sunnier and drier than Lima, so we came for the weather. The Pan am highway runs through Chincha so it is extremely busy and dirty, not to mention dangerous to walk approx. one km from Peru Bus station to the Casa Andina, there are no sidewalks so you must be very careful if you walk, or you can take a moto taxi for a few soles. Once you go through the gates of the Casa Andina, you won't be disappointed, it is a real oasis from the dusty desert outside the doors. The pool is huge with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The rooms were lovely with private covered terrace, all ground floors, we had rm #103, and found it was very quiet despite being across from the kitchen. We could not hear any road noise from our room. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, with desk, free wifi with great signal, and air conditioning. The bathroom was bright and sunny, and well ventilated, the only complaint I had was the attached hairdryer is plugged into the only outlet, so I could not plug in my straightener the bathroom, there were no other mirrors in the room. It would have been good to have a mini fridge equipped with drinks, snacks for purchase. The hotel is across the street from a shiny new shopping plaza, but beware of the dangerous highway
