Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! The grounds are incredible. They are filled with beautiful flowers and three different hiking trails. The room was excellent—very spacious, beautiful views of the forest, and we were able to see animals right outside our window. The restaurant on premise was wonderful for all meals. The staff went out of their way to help. Our flight got cancelled, and they reached out proactively and were able to book us a different driver from the airport to hotel. All tours can be booked on site. Truly wonderful experience!

Monteverde is Heaven on Earth. The Cloud Forest Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy it. Clean, spacious and relaxing rooms. Fabulous restaurant with Incredible views. The property is beautifully maintained. Probably the biggest asset are the staff. The front desk staff provided a wonderful welcome and then continued to help with advice and bookings throughout our stay. They were thoroughly professional and always very yfriendly. The restaurant staff are fabulous. Great attention to detail and humour, all while working a very busy restaurant. Costa Ricans are friendly, but the staff at Cloud Forest are on another level entirely. Bravo!

The room including the bathroom was very spacious and clean. Rooms had a good variety of coffee/tea plus bathroom amenities (lotion, shampoo, etc.). Breakfasts were filling and balanced but were lacking in animal protein. Overall the hotel and trails were very enjoyable. The only downsides: location (a bit further from town center) and restaurant was quite pricey (not sure if the food was worth the cost).

Rooms were simple but spacious and very clean and comfortable beds and linens. Cute little patio. Included breakfast was gourmet and excellent. The dinner options were a little expensive and not many options for the kids but was gourmet and great for foodies. The restaurant itself had a fireplace which looked great but made the lodge quite smoky and our clothes and hair smelled quite strong afterwards. The trails were very nice. It’s off the beaten path so after dark around 5:30 there’s not much to do but rest or taxi to the nearest town. Very challenging roads.

The staff was amazing!! Could not do enough for you. The room was very nice and clean, the views from the property were beautiful. We did not know there was a little town not far til the day we left, that was disappointing. The road to the lodge was unpaved and unlit, it was good the dining room and menu had good variety cuz after dark we weren’t driving anywhere. I wish they had had a hot tub and spa, would have been a nice option.
