Fantastic

This is just a wonderful place. The staff is so friendly and happy. This is our second time there and we will go back as often as we can and we recommend it all the time. Its a little slice of paradise in a secluded part of Costa Rice. The bay is beautiful. We hope to spend more time next year so we can explore the area more.

It was so-so for us. The one positive thing is that the staff is wonderful! The pictures look prettier than in reality. We had a room in the basement with only a little window with bars in them looking into so some sort of parking/garbage area. It needs significant updates. We had booked 2 nights, but only stayed 1 and left to go elsewhere. The atmosphere is not great...we found it a bit depressing and felt stuck. Maybe it's just the time of year, weather?

The room was clean. The air conditioning in our room worked but was an older unit so made a lot of noise. The pool is beautiful and clean. The food in the restaurant on the grounds was not as good as it has been and we have stayed there for the last 5 years.

This place looks as of it uses to be a big deal, today it is rather worn out, with a bit of a "paranormal movie" spirit - especially in the basement department, but also on the main floor. This is to some extent also the case for the resturant/pool area, where the sauna, some of the toilets and dressing rooms are in a sad state. The pool itself appeared nice, and the fitness as well. However many locals kids and families use the pool, meaning there is a lot of noise as the whole village is playing and partying here. The hotel fitness is also open to the locals and used as a regular gym, which means there I a lot of people, compared to a normal hotel gym. For me, this meant there was a lot of people, and too little personal space - also compared to my local fitness back home. The breakfast was okay.

Please forgive me; her name escapes me at check in. She was so welcoming. The same with the staff at breakfast. They engaged in conversation with you were very helpful. The customer service at this hotel was extremely excellent. The staff are professional kind outgoing and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean and well laid out. If you choose not sight see you can spend a great day enjoying the pool and all the hotel has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room was clean. Maintenance replaced the hair dryer promply as it did not work. No hand rowels, only 2 bath towels. Restaurant was expensive and only average quality. No pizza bar as advertised. Breakfast was ok.

Nice updates and good service

Enjoyed our 3nights everything was good. The only complaint we had was one dinner we ordered was not as described. Babbyback ribs. The potatoes were not cooked the corn was discussing. The service was great. Breakfast could be a little more real meat and healthy bread choices. But it was still good. Service at the pool was fun and friendly. Love the new venue. We come once a yr. for a get away. Truely enjoyed this trip.

Good with great potential

In overall is a nice place. Has good amenities and the rooms are very comfortable. A few things could be improved like: There was REALLY BAD WiFi signal from the rooms in the lower ground floor. Something like this could be fixed with a repeater. The restaurant took around 30 minutes to deliver us dinner. Then 10 minutes to take our bill. Food was good but very slow service. In overall, my family enjoyed and will probably be back when staying in town. Those two little details didn't matter much but could be improved so the service is 10/10
