considering I paid only $60, this hotel is an amazing value. It's actually a unique boutique style hotel with an open air pool surrounded by restaurant which is a cool setup. The hotel has nice lighting, public seating areas, nicely decorated with plants and art - way above normal for this price. The rooms were really nicely appointed with lamps, carpet, and modern furnishings with lots of great pillows and sheets, very nice towels/soaps etc. There are lots of restaurants and bars to walk to. It took over 1 hour to reach the airport at 7am due to bad traffic though - beware. Uber ($15-25) is far cheaper than the taxi option ($35) to the airport.

We didn’t get to the hotel until 2:00am and whoever was at the desk was so helpful. There isn’t an elevator so they helped us with bags while we carried our sleeping kids. The hotel was quiet and beautiful- the breakfast delicious- service was beyond- would absolutely recommend for nice retreat!

I visited KC hotel for my first trip to Costa Rica. Everyone I encountered in the staff happened to be so kind and offered excellent customer service. They seemed happy to be there and the hotel had a cozy atmosphere. The free breakfast was great and the lunch options were tasty. Overall I would stay there again great place!

Bad experience in terms of cleanliness and service

The location is convenient, and the room was spacious and quiet. However, this is the end of the upside. The hotel is located on a roach infested street, with minimal street lighting. The duvet was also dirty, with stains (like blood) peeling off. We tried to contact housekeeping for a replacement, but we were told that there is no housekeeping at night for this. This is quite digusting and an unacceptable response from a hotel.

The pool and pool side restaurant was like an oasis from the hustle and grit of San Jose. The food at the restaurant was incredible and well priced. Highly recommend ordering lunch or dinner by the pool. Our room was simple but clean. Comfy pillows! The area feels safe to walk around during the day. The staff were all wonderful. A lovely boutique hotel! Special thanks to the staff for accommodating our early arrival.

The outside of the building is nice but the inside was something I didn’t imagine at all! It’s gorgeous! Rooms are big, bathroom is average size to America. The breakfast was delicious! and it was all free as much as you wanted! Juice was made fresh each time! I will definitely stay again, again and again!!

Overall my stay was good. The pool area looked nice and the hotel area was clean and smelled nice. My dinner at the restaurant and service was just okay. I also didn’t realise when booking that my room didn’t have a mini fridge which was disappointing when I came back with multiple drinks from the corner store and had no where to keep them cold. The hotel is conveniently located to a corner store, Starbucks, and other fast food restaurants. It was also only a short 10-15 minute drive to anything in San Jose I had interest in checking out.
