Awful hotel - noisy- no sleep-would not recommend

We didn’t expect any luxury with booking a 3 star hotel but we do expect the basics which this hotel did not offer. Such a bad experience we would not recommend for several reasons detailed below - The noise of the floor boards/doors slamming all night meant no sleep was had and forget a lie in 6am it started again it’s not the guests fault the building is not made/been adapted properly to be a hotel, in our own room on the ground floor the floorboards creaked so loud we annoyed ourselves - The mattress was so hard, and the springs dug in to my hips so much it hurt adding to the lack of sleep - The pillows were two literal pancakes I wish I took a picture, it was like sleeping without pillows we were so flat we couldn’t actually believe it when we arrived- whoever made that bed must have known that is not ok they wouldn’t have slept with them themselves! - One of us showered, half way through it went cold and no more hot water for the second person so cold showers before a wedding it was - There is WIFI but nobody on reception either time we went to get the password - We tried to call the hotel twice while out to get more towels brought to the room as nobody was at reception when we went out (they gave one towel between two of us) no answer either time We have stayed in many comfortable 3* hotels and don’t know how this on retains its 3* as it does not provide the most basic expectations of a hotel.

Nice hotel in good location

We were attending a wedding at Stokes Farm, 5 minutes away by car so this was the perfect location for us. We didn’t use any of the hotel’s amenities but the bed was comfortable and the room sufficient for our needs

Good but...

A quick overnight stay. Hotel is warm and friendly, yet a little dated in areas. Some TLC needed in some areas as paint was flaking off skirting boards. Staff sickness meant room service was unavailable for our sty. Overal a very nice hotel

A great nights stay

A one night stop off combining a University offer holder day and a family funeral. This charming hotel met our needs in every way. My son and I stayed in room 3 which was very well equipped. Martin and Dee were great hosts. Would stay again.

Very uncomfortable, very poor service. Much cheaper, bigger rooms in travelodge opposite

Staff were friendly and pleasant

Booked as an overnight stay before visiting family the next day. An older property that might need a refresh but clean. Bed too hard for my comfort but that is subjective. The staff were friendly and pleasant and we would be happy to visit again.

Be warned £5 parking charge

Good location and nice room. Surprised to pay £5 for parking especially when there is plenty of parking outside the hotel for free. Not as though the hotel was in the centre of Bracknell. I could have stayed at the Coppid Beech nearby for £20 extra but 4 star and free parking.
Davendra, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Walls were thin and could here people talking, bed was dated and uncomfortable. Hotel is overpriced for its condition. Could here children running around above our room in the morning, so clearly no sound proofing either.

Bed was super comfortable! I was in and out late so didn’t get to inquire about why the shower was cold. Not too big of a deal, but did make for a chilly morning ☺️.

Unique

This is a very unique b&b with interesting and homely decor. Excellent service with additional touches such as personal bar service of an evening in lounge with Chesterfield sofas and magazines! Carpers in rokms need a refresh and average breakfast. Didnt like surprise 5 pound parking charge. Overall very nice though.
Sarah, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Twin room in need of an update. Damp smell-walls painted-bedside lamp-shower seal-cracked toilet seat-better pillows are a must!! All of these details can be seen with the naked eye. Website & in room information booklets needs updating too so they both in-line with one another. This could be a really nice room with the few improvements Staff was very friendly & helpful
2-night trip

6/10 Good

nice location, small room, outdated furnishing

Small, single room, did the job for one night but wouldn't stay longer. Got charged an extra £5 to park my car on the driveway which was ridiculous. I parked it at 9.30pm and was gone by 7.50am. felt this was unjustified.
Sally, 1-night trip

Awful start to our holiday

This hotel was terrible. The room was absolutely awful. We had noise late at night. Due to a party going on the room didn't even resemble what was on hotels .com I have noticed on your website that there are many bad reviews wondering why this hotel is actually still on hotels.com. The toilet was not clean. The carpet was threadbare war fittings, falling off the wall Mish. Mash coat hangers nowhere to put clothes. We checked out for the next morning. We asked 1 day's refund, they totally refused I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There were quite a few other things wrong as well
Philip, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

I had a friendly welcome and was upgraded to a better room. The ambiance of the location was excellent and the communal areas were furnished to an excellent level of quality. I was surprised to find an ironing board in the wardrobe but I was told that many of their guests stay for business meetings and want to look smart. Therefore, I was surprised there were no shaver points in the location. I get shaved every day, I don't iron clothes every day. Some of the windows had slipped slightly out of alignment and wouldn't fully shut. It is a shame that a high level of service is let down by issues of convenience (shaver points) and low level maintenance.
