First stay at a Tru, impressed. A more friendly environment, hard to explain, but almost like being at a friends home, billiards table in lobby, modern art panels, wide open area, well used by guests. Minimalist room, but comfortable.

Great new gem

I love the vibe of this hotel, it’s like an IKEA showroom with this beautiful pop art mural of Holland, Mi. Rooms were efficient in size but very clean and the openness of the room felt cleaner, no dingy closet. Staff was wonderful, we had an issue with some of our plugs not working when we arrived but they fixed right away. Breakfast was plentiful with eggs, sausage and pancakes plus the usual. We will definitely stay here again.

New hotel so very clean. Front desk clerk was friendly but in training. Had to wait a very long time to check out. Hotel is fine but very average.

Very clean and very modern hotel with good accommodations. My only complaint is the plastic soap, shampoo, and lotion dispensers that require squeezing to get contents to flow out. These dispensers require two hands to operate and are not convenient.

Hilton design flaws

To no fault of the location or staff, all of the issues were design flaws. Zero amenities in the room. Not even a closet. Very poorly designed and constructed. I like the idea of no carpet but it makes for a very loud stay. The floor did not feel clean but it was just such cheap flooring. Again, not the fault of the property, but definitely a brand issue. Will not choose Tru again.

staff was so friendly and helpful. rooms were clean and comfortable even though very minimal amenities. could have really used a microwave. the one in the lobby was usable but had to go downstairs whenever we heated up leftovers. overall i would book a TRU again.
