Great local hotel near the airport

The Kauai Palms is a great, clean hotel near the airport with friendly staff. We stayed two nights there in August before heading to our vacation rental on the Northshore. Would highly recommend for travelers seeking convenience and affordability near the airport.
Resident hotel cat Mango was a huge hit with our children!

We had a lovely stay. This spot is true old-Hawaii. The rooms are simple and small but the character is EXACTLY what I expect from MY kind of Kauai! Staff was super friendly and the location very convenient to downtown.

This place is pretty basic. I would say that it is closer to a motel than a hotel as there is very limited amenities or common areas. For the amount that it cost, I would like to get more value, but I also understand that Kauai is extremely expensive to stay on. Nothing wrong with the place, just nothing special.

Really nice hotel/resort. Management on site and very responsive to all requests. Only draw back is location which is off the main area by cruise ships. Tough time getting to beach.

Older hotel, but very clean room … bathroom a bit small for today’s standards, but again very clean and usable. Quiet setting. We were able to park about 20 feet from our door, which made getting luggage in and out easy. The hotel worked very well for our purposes. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

Excellent charming motel!

Stayed three nights for a business trip, so I didn't need much in the way of amenities. Room (14) was clean and quiet, AC was cold, had a small kitchenette in my room, so everything was just about perfect. Was visited several times by an orange tabby named Mochi, who assured me that he was the Director of Guest Services. He barged right in my room several times over the course of my stay to check the bed for comfortability, which seemed excessive, but he assured me he is the professional. Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back

Small but VERY clean room in a quaint Hawaiian style older hotel. We were arriving after hours and were given instructions via text on where and how to get in the lock box. Close to the airport and worked very well for our one night stay.

Nice quaint, small place. The price was right. Don't expect the big rooms of those large hotels/resorts. Yes the room was small, the bathroom was even tinier. But it was cozy, the bed was comfy and most important everything was clean. And the people were welcoming. Definitely felt the Aloha!

Average quality rooms and below average bathroom

The place is clean but the room rates are very expensive for the outdated bathroom and amenities and cramped room. There is no hand held shower except for head shower so not easy to clean yourself after a beach day. Their customer service was good and the location is central being only 5 minutes from Lihui airport but the pillows mattress and bathrooms and towels were not comfortable and very low quality.
