By far the best place ive stayed in a while. The area was clean and quiet. Self check in process was easy. The bike rental concept was great. I enjoyed exploring Charleston on a bike. Breakfast offered was simple and accommodating.

SO CUTE! we stayed in room 3 and everything was stunning. We spent a lot of time on the verandah, which was gorgeous shared space. The breakfast, snacks and drinks were an awesome extra.

Beautiful lodging, super convenient location. My only complaint is that there was not "regular" decaf coffee, only espresso machine with creamer in the lobby.

I would definitely stay here again. Convenient off street parking, quiet, and easily walkable to numerous places. The grab and go options were nice especially in the morning and returning after a long day.

Even though there were no staff on site, everything we needed was available. The room was clean, attractive and the bed was comfortable. We had direct access to the large second floor porch. We took the complimentary bikes down Ashley St. and around the Citadel. Breakfast was good (but only coffee mate for coffee). Would definitely stay again.

Stayed overnight on our way to Florida and would stay again! Yes the hotel is old but what do you expect? It’s very well kept very clean and we loved the location and boutique feel! We will be coming back next time we are in Charleston! Would not recommend for elderly people as they do have stairs that are steep so plan according! But my almost 2 year old had no issue so I would say kid friendly!

The Ashley has the perfect vintage charm! Nicely remodeled with new amenities without losing the old Charleston feel. Breakfast availability was great and we didn’t have to use the car once, the property was within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Will be back!

Be aware if it matters; it is not a full service bed and breakfast. There is no staff on site usually. The room and accommodations were fine but its more a self service model. Also it is about a mile or so to most of the main 'attractions' if walking is an issue.
