First, the positives: the location is excellent, and the hotel is attractive. On to negatives: I asked for a quiet room, but was put in a room over the courtyard, with windows not nearly thick enough to block out the sound of music and conversation below. I also killed one cockroach in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was as stingy as I remember encountering in Europe.

The location of the hotel is top notch. You can walk out the back door and right up to the top of the hill and directly to one of the main tourist areas. If you walk out the front door, you are right in the middle of downtown with all the amenities. There is a nice little bar in the hotel with a really picturesque indoor square and a few esoteric shops. Very quiet little oasis to have a coffee or a drink in the morning, afternoon or evening. The breakfast is really top notch. You might have to get there early to snag some of the baked goods as I think they ran out right after I took the last croissant. I would go back and stay here next time I visit Zagreb.

Good location and beautiful interior. Parking is a short walk, but plenty of spaces when we arrived. No elevators, but help was offered. Not too bad if flight of stairs. Quiet and nice walk to see things around. If you are traveling by the train, probably a good choice too.

Hotel Jägerhorn was ideally situated in the central part of Zagreb with east access to many museums and numerous restaurants. The staff were wonderful. All were friendly, helpful and accommodating (A special commendation to Javor whose enngagement, professionalism and stellar character enhanced our experience at Hotel Jägerhorn).
