We really enjoyed our stay at Ala. The hotel is very modern and centrally located - we specifically chose it because of its close proximity to the train station. Our favourite facility was their onsen, which was clean and well maintained. I would love to come and stay again

Wonderful modern hotel, conveniently located close to Kyoto central (5 min walk). Large room with separated toilet and large bathroom. Breakfast is mostly japanese style and excellent, assuming ofc that you do not prefer a Western style one. Omelette station was available. Would love to stay here again.

The place was so clean and well organized for tourists. The hotel seems renovated recently so I can feel the brand new smell. The staff were very kind and well trained to take care their guests. And it is located very close to the Kyoto station from where our family can start daily trip to near spots without any stop. Even we can come back to the Kansai International Airport after finishing my lovely Kyoto trip.

It was my husband's first time in Japan and the onsen/ryokkan experience. He enjoyed every moment of the stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The kaizeki dinner was delicious with locally sourced ingredients and breakfast was amazing to get our day started. We still dream about the miso soup hot pot at dinner! Thank you for creating this wonderful experience of Japan for my husband!
