Upon arriving at the building we had concerns about the location. The neighbourhood does not feel safe. Though the building itself felt secure enough.
We were a bit disappointed to find that this place is not a hotel at all, in fact there is no reception and check in is done via text message with the owner who requested my email address in order to send me a payment link for the mandatory city tax in advance of our stay. This was only 2 euros but the whole process and communication felt convoluted and wrong.
Armed with the PIN number which is the same for both the main entrance to the building as well as the room/apartment, we were able to access the place without any issues.
The apartment itself was fairly modern and had a good range of amenities (fridge, microwave, two large screen TVs, Nespesso machine, etc): no complaints there.
The bedding was unfortunately stained and quite disgusting which was unpleasant. Though the bed itself was comfortable and large.
The AC and WiFi worked well and we were comfortable overall.
All in all the apartment was good but let down by poor bedding cleanliness and the location of the building was in an unpleasant part of the city so I probably wouldn't stay again.
